Cry Havoc

The crew of a badly damaged spaceship take refuge on a huge derelict vessel, the prison ship Havoc, a relic of a dark and dangerous time. As they struggle to repair their ship one of their own falls more and more under the cruel spell of Havoc’s past. A past that is not as dead as they think.

A Haunted House in space. A sci-fi ghost story. Look for it in Summer 2020.

Stinger: Betrayals

I’m closing in on the last 60 pages of my second novel, Stinger: Betrayals. Watch this site for updates. I will be posting snippets and updates as I get closer. Unlike Mad World, Stinger is a rollicking, epic space opera:

Far in the future, mankind is spread though dozens of colony worlds, linked by a series of wormholes, express tunnels through space. For hundreds of years, The Coalition of Man has held all of the worlds together, united in a common government and heritage. But in the last few decades, the Coalition has become decadent, and corruption has riddled it like maggots in the body politic. It has become a plutocracy, ruled by greed and rife with corruption and decay.

The Coalition Navy, once the great peacekeeper, has become an instrument of oppression. As the Coalition degrades, colony worlds begin to secede. The Navy is sent to brutally suppress them.

One Naval battleship, Manchester, is home to a varied group of misfits and ‘political unreliables’. They watch uneasily as their dreams of service to the Coalition transform into orders of brutality. They all have their own reasons for wanting to escape; some for political reasons, others to escape court martial and execution. They will soon have their chance.

Horde

A Young Adult trilogy, about the collision of three cultures, each of which has a very different definition of life and individuality, which are all inimical to each other.
